Terms & conditions

Please read these terms carefully before using Lloyd Event Technology. By accessing this site, creating an organiser account, or purchasing a ticket, you agree to be bound by them. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.

1. Who we are and what we do

Lloyd Event Technology provides a platform that allows event organisers ("Organisers") to create event pages and sell tickets to buyers ("Buyers"). Lloyd Event Technology facilitates ticket sales and payment processing on behalf of Organisers and acts as their agent for this purpose.

Each event page is published by the Organiser, who is responsible for the accuracy of the event details and for running the event. Except as set out below, Lloyd Event Technology is not a party to the contract formed between a Buyer and an Organiser when a ticket is purchased, and is not liable for disputes relating to an event itself.

2. Using our site

Lloyd Event Technology is provided free of charge to Buyers. We do not guarantee that the site will always be available, uninterrupted, or error-free, and we may suspend, change or withdraw all or part of the site at any time without notice.

You are responsible for keeping any account password confidential. If you believe your account has been compromised, contact us immediately at tickets@lloydeventtechnology.co.uk.

You must not misuse the site, including by attempting to gain unauthorised access to it, introducing viruses or other harmful code, or disrupting its operation through excessive or automated requests.

3. Purchasing tickets

When you buy a ticket, you confirm that the information you provide is accurate and complete. Ticket prices, any booking or service fees, and payment methods are shown to you before you complete your purchase.

Card payments are processed securely by Stripe. Lloyd Event Technology does not store your card details.

We reserve the right to cancel an order and refund the amount paid where there has been an error in ticket pricing or availability, whether due to human error or a system fault.

Under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013, the standard 14-day right to cancel does not apply to tickets for leisure events taking place on a specific date or at a specific time (regulation 28(1)(b)). This means that, once purchased, ticket orders are not cancellable under these regulations, consistent with the refunds position set out in section 5.

4. Cancelled, varied or postponed events

Events are organised and run by the relevant Organiser, who is solely responsible for deciding whether an event proceeds, is rescheduled, or is cancelled, and for any refund or alternative arrangement offered to Buyers as a result.

Where an Organiser does provide a refund through Lloyd Event Technology, this will be returned to the payment method used for the original purchase. Any booking or service fees may not be refundable.

We will make reasonable efforts to pass on information about a cancellation, postponement or change provided to us by the Organiser, but it remains your responsibility to check the status of an event before attending.

5. Refunds and exchanges

Each Organiser may set their own refund and exchange policy for their events, which will be shown on the event page or at checkout. Where an Organiser's policy applies, that policy takes priority over the default position below.

Except where an Organiser's policy or these terms provide for a refund or exchange (for example following a cancellation or significant change to an event), ticket sales are final. We are not able to offer a refund simply because you change your mind, are unable to attend, or purchased a ticket in error; in many cases you may instead be able to pass your ticket to someone else to use.

If you have an issue with an order, please contact the Organiser using the details on the event page, or contact us at tickets@lloydeventtechnology.co.uk and we'll do our best to help.

As Lloyd Event Technology acts as the Organiser's agent, we are not obliged to issue a refund on an Organiser's behalf, and any refund due from an Organiser remains that Organiser's responsibility. However, where we suspend or remove an Organiser's account (see section 6), we reserve the right, but are not obliged, to refund affected Buyers from any funds held for that Organiser.

6. Organisers

If you create an Organiser account, you are responsible for:

Lloyd Event Technology may review, suspend or remove an Organiser's account or event listings at our discretion, including where we reasonably believe these terms have been breached. Where an account is suspended or removed, we may withhold any funds collected on the Organiser's behalf for a reasonable period to allow for Buyer refunds (see section 5) and to cover any outstanding fees or chargebacks, before releasing any remaining balance to the Organiser.

7. Intellectual property

The Lloyd Event Technology name, logo and the design of this site are owned by us or used under licence. You may view and print pages from the site for your personal use, but you must not reproduce, copy or use the site's content for commercial purposes without our permission.

Organisers retain ownership of the content (text, images and other materials) they upload for their events, but grant us a licence to host, display and distribute that content as part of operating the site.

8. Links to other websites

Our site may contain links to third-party websites, including Organiser or venue websites. These links are provided for your convenience only; we have no control over, and accept no responsibility for, the content of those sites.

9. Limitation of liability

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, fraud, or any other liability that cannot be excluded or limited under UK law.

Subject to that, Lloyd Event Technology will not be liable for any loss or damage arising from the cancellation, postponement, content, or conduct of an event, or from any act or omission of an Organiser, as these are matters for the Organiser. We also will not be liable for loss of profits, business, or any indirect or consequential loss arising from your use of the site.

10. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time by posting a revised version on this page. Continuing to use the site after a change is posted means you accept the updated terms.
